Art’s blog has been strangely quiet lately. That’s not particularly odd, as sometimes he is, as he puts it, “somewhat uninspired.” That isn’t the case as of right now, however. As you may have learned, if you’ve been following the RizWords podcast recently is that he has been in the hospital, and thusly incommunicado.

Here’s the scoop: He broke his back Sunday night in the bathroom after slipping, getting out of the shower. His roommate was not at home, so he heroically crawled his way around the house to find a telephone to dial 911. The paramedics rushed him to the hospital and found that he had crushed one of his lumbars, but there was no spinal cord damage, thankfully.
