This Just In: Mitt Romney Is A Mormon
5 Comments Published by Art March 1st, 2007 in Politics, Culture, MediaMost people who know me know that I am a Christian. Albeit, I am not always a very good one, but, it is obvious to those in my circle, nonetheless. I can honestly tell you that being Christian is a tough gig in this day and age. It’s akin to having a target painted on your back, and I don’t really get that. Why is it that every other religion gets a tolerance pass except for the predominant one in the country? It’s cool to be Muslim, or Buddhist, or Jewish, but not a Christian. Well, okay, maybe not Jewish either, because if you ask the majority of the “Hate America First” Crowd, they’ll tell you that Jews are responsible for all the strife and conflict in the world. But that is a discussion for another day.
That being said, Christianity has its own problems. We like to fight with ourselves, and I’ve never really understood why. Well, I shouldn’t say that, because humans are contrarian by nature. But, I’ve never really understood why Christians can’t get along with one another. Seems to me, if we could outgrow that whole, “crusade” issue, why are we so nitpicky now?

A perfect Illustration of what the liberal media elite thinks of middle America. If you don’t live in Manhattan or Los Angeles, you’re nothing.
Nice mouth, Chris.
How’s THAT for a “disturbing trend”?

“Glenn Beck represents a truly troubling trend in television journalism. Since May 2006, the radio talk show host has had his own one hour nightly programme on CNN’s Headline News channel. While the network may have hoped that Beck’s flamboyant style would increase ratings, the cost to their integrity has been staggering.
In just the past two months, for example, one half of Beck’s shows have focused on matters Muslim. Beck insists that he is not opposed to all Muslims, only what he refers to as the “10 per cent who are evil”. He then counters this observation by stating that the vast majority of good Muslims have been cowered into silence by the extremist 10 per cent, so that they too stand indicted by their cowardice. Only when they do speak out, Beck says, will radical Islam be defeated and the rest of us be safe from their scourge. The net result of this circumlocution is that the majority of Muslims are to blame.” - James Zogby
You know what I find to be a really disturbing trend? The fact that guys like Keith Olbermann never get mentioned in articles like this. All this is, is another episode of “Throw The Conservative Under The Bus.”

I’ll be the first to admit it.
I’m a white man.
I’m a very white man. In fact, if I go into the sun for a prolonged period of time, I’ll explode.
99.9% of my friends are white. I have one true black friend, whom I jokingly call my “token black friend”, and I am his “token disabled friend”. It’s a mutually beneficial relationship when it comes to paperwork, and we get along just fine.
Come to think of it, I have *Lebanese* friends who are even whiter than me (You have no idea how white that is.) They are so white, that the fascination they have with the Dave Matthews Band is downright disturbing. For the love of God, Mario, change your ringtone, okay? …It makes me want to go “Under the Table…and Shoot Myself”.
Enough of that. Let me get to the point here. I can’t believe I still have to bring this up. Here it comes:
Just because you’re black, that doesn’t make you special.

I miss the good old days. The days when I could watch something as benign as a football game, and not have to worry about being indoctrinated with a political message. But alas, my friends, those days are long gone.
I was all ready to go. I had the TV tuned to Fox, I had my beverages, and I had a feast of buffalo wings, onion rings and fried mushrooms all set before me. Everything was just perfect for me to turn into a complete slug, and watch the Chicago Bears pound the ever-loving crap out of the New Orleans Saints.
Needless to say, they did.
However, I wasn’t able to watch the game without first being reminded about Hurricane Katrina.
Let’s get one thing straight right now, okay?
I don’t give a damn about Hurricane Katrina. It’s been a year and a half, and it’s time to get over it.
