“You scored 127 on your IQ test.”
Yay, me. Apparently, upon further review, this places me in the famed “95th percentile” and I am classified as having a “very superior” level of intelligence. Why, thank you very much.
That’s pretty cool I guess, since IQ tests bore the crap out of me, and I’ve never had the desire to finish one. At least now I have an idea of which fabled number belongs to me, eh?
I was also told the following:

Before I begin, I would like to dedicate this tale to Leon. You don’t need to know who he is, I do, and that’s all that matters. :)
I like to think of myself as a person who enjoys the simple things in life. I don’t think I ask for a whole lot, and it doesn’t take a much to make me happy. We live in a pretty complex world these days, and it’s nice to have basic things we can all go back to that make us feel comfortable and at home.
For me, one of those the things that falls into this category is beer.
Before you get the wrong idea, let me clarify. When I mention beer in this context, it doesn’t mean when I get stressed I bolt out of the house and head for the nearest bar and proceed to drink myself into oblivion. No, not at all.
You see, I’ve been through that stage already. A lot of us go through that in our early and mid 20’s, and we eventually outgrow it. I too, have outgrown the binge drinking days. This isn’t to say there isn’t the occasional celebratory regression, but I think you get my point.

I have returned.
There was something I had to do. Something I never thought I would do, and it is done.
At least for now.
I feel good about what I did, most days. There are other days when I am not so sure, but I imagine that is just part of humanity. I’m thinking I will always second guess myself on it, no matter how many times I may be assured by some that I did indeed do the right thing. I’m hoping I left a positive mark at the end of it all, but I’m not sure if I’ll ever really know. I’m not going to get into specifics, so don’t ask me about it if you value your life on this planet. If you know, you know. If you don’t know, it’s none of your business.
However, my task did offer me a unique learning experience. What was it, you ask? Airports. I’ve never been on a plane until the last week or so, and I have to tell you, airplanes would be great, if it wasn’t for the damn airport.
I shouldn’t be surprised though, at their inefficiency. Any building with that many people in it is bound to have more than its fair share of ignorance on the premises.

I haven’t been writing, obviously, because of the holidays.
I will be out of town from the 31st until at least the 8th, so you won’t see me for a while.
I’ll be back before you know it.

President Gerald R. Ford (1913-2006)

The Good don’t always die young, but they often die first.
…That’s the only reason I can come up with as to why Jimmy Carter is still around. ;)
